Now that I've "settled" after the relocation interstate, gotten over the whole Christmas holiday saga, and put some new perspective on things, I shall endeavour to fire up the DA work again and get some creative imagery happening. I started by adding a self portrait (myspace stylez) last night which was taken on my phone camera, in a rather drunken manner, at the Union Hotel (I think?) on the night of my work's end of year lunch. That was certainly a rather substantial 14 hours of 'celebrating the festive season'... anywho...
I've got a darling girlfriend of mine lined up to take some other shots of me in the very near future... not entirely sure of the theme that will be throughout them, but I'm sure they'll all have an interesting perspective. There's nothing that a full day/night and a couple of bottles of wine can't artistically manufacture!
I'm also going to try and get some more nature shots - there's a bigass tree on the grounds of my University which houses dozens of rainbow lorikeets - I may just go for a walk over there of an early morn to capture their anarchistic frivolity.
Unfortunately I feel like summer still hasn't arrived here - things don't appear to have that sun drenched glow about them (and I don't mean people walking around with mega sunburn!). But I'm suspecting that my camera will be an automatic inclusion in my handbag over the next couple of months.
I'm also hoping to get some interesting character shots at any of the Fringe events I may be attending during Feb/March. Anyone who has ever attended the Adelaide Fringe Festival would understand that there are some true dimensions and effects out there to be capture within a photo.
So, if you have any suggestions for photo types, or something you think may be suitable as a themed collection of images, please let me know... I'm always interested in other people's perspectives and creative desires.
